More than an Author

MY STORY

FOR THE LOVE OF READING

I reside in Wathena, Kansas, together with my beloved husband Clarence. Our joy is enhanced by the presence of our daughter and her husband, Shelly and Danny Bouse, as well as our three cherished grandchildren, Kiera, Carver, and Harrison. Following my retirement from a fulfilling career in education, I have finally achieved my lifelong aspiration of becoming a published author. Additionally, I serve as an Elder in the esteemed Community of Christ, possess self-taught piano skills, and have retired from teaching elementary classrooms and elementary music. In 1992, during my husband's tenure as the D.A.R.E. resource officer in Maryville, MO, I composed and published a song titled "Dare to Be Different" for the Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program. Furthermore, I have authored and published poetry, and during my time as the Newspaper in Education Director at the St. Joseph (MO) News-Press, I have produced and published numerous interactive educational materials for classrooms.
